On Westward

We left Chosa Campground and moved on westward, to the town of Lordsburg, NM. We stayed two nights here, the first 'cause we needed to sleep, the next day, there were storms moving in, heavy rain and lots of pea size hail. By the time it was thru, it was too late for traveling, so one more night. But there are no complaints as the city park was Veterans Park, maintained by the VFW. Mostly good gravel roads and lots of picnic pavillions.

We left there on the 10th, early, and drove to an Arizona BLM campground SW of Tucson, called Ironwood Forest National Monument. Like Chosa, a nice level, large, gravel camping area.  BTW, Ironwood is a term for mesquite trees, lots of (shorter) ones surrounding us.

Got our camping spot set up for a few days stay.

And a nice grilled steak on our second night

We've settled here for a few days....   more later.
