On Westward

We left Chosa Campground and moved on westward, to the town of Lordsburg, NM. We stayed two nights here, the first 'cause we needed to sleep, the next day, there were storms moving in, heavy rain and lots of pea size hail. By the time it was thru, it was too late for traveling, so one more night. But there are no complaints as the city park was Veterans Park, maintained by the VFW. Mostly good gravel roads and lots of picnic pavillions.

We left there on the 10th, early, and drove to an Arizona BLM campground SW of Tucson, called Ironwood Forest National Monument. Like Chosa, a nice level, large, gravel camping area.  BTW, Ironwood is a term for mesquite trees, lots of (shorter) ones surrounding us.

Got our camping spot set up for a few days stay.

And a nice grilled steak on our second night

We've settled here for a few days....   more later.

Time to go....

Seems we sat around the house far too long, this time. Too many appointments and other commitments.

11-20-19

We set out for Possum Kingdom State Park, kinda close to Graham, Tx, to visit friends and just unwind a bit.

Our first day here was beautiful, sunny, decent fishing weather. The next two days were cold & windy with spattering rain. But, we had fun.

11-23-19

We hooked up and headed for Rotan, to visit kin and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. Many folks, the Wife's mother, sisters & brother, many nieces & nephews, many not seen in years. Lots of visiting & catching up... 2 weeks worth. 😃

12-7-19

We were loaded and left early. We're at a BLM campground (Chosa) south of Carlsbad Caverns, a place we've stayed before. Spending the night, then heading on toward Arizona tomorrow. Clear skies here, nice sunsets to view before supper and bed. Later folks.
